Welcome to our blog. The truth is, I am only just now finding out what a blog actually is. Basically, to me, it appears to be an electronic type of newsletter / bulletin board of sorts. Well, anyway, that is how I am going to treat it. I am going to use it to keep in touch with our family and friends. I counted up my family members recently and there are eighty of us (Mother, Billy and myself, our five children and thier families and our seven siblings and their families - and only two live within twenty-five miles of us). I want to stay in touch with everyone, but that is hard to do. Maybe this blog thing will help. I promise to try to be brief and not drone on and on about our adorable ten grandchildren.
Speaking of which, we have recently had three added to our list. Billy's daughter had twins (fraternal, boys - totalling just over fourteen pounds) and his son's wife had a little girl. All are adorable, needless to say. I will add photos as soon as I learn how.
Billy and I will celebrate our seventh anniversary this month. It is hard to believe it has been that long. We have packed a lot of miles into those years (we stay on the road constantly). Billy wants to retire in three years so we may have to slow down with these gas prices going up all of the time.
I am finally writing my book that I have wanted to for years. I have started chapters seven and eight. It is called Around The Bend and is about my life after the death of my late husband, Rick. So far, my dear friends have given me good reviews. Maybe they are just being kind, but they swear they like it. Anyway, it has certainly been therapeutic. At the very least, I hope it will be a legacy to my sons.
